System One is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator for a long-term onsite, opportunity in Mobile, AL. Ideal candidates will have a strong background with systems management, server infrastructure maintenance, and extensive experience with VMware Horizon. The primary duties for this position are focused on systems management which includes network, file and print services, virtualization, hardware and software support, managing directory services, patch management, system backups, SAN, monitoring and inventory. Additionally, this position will interface with the helpdesk ticketing system, IT support entities and the end-user as to resolve incidents.

• Provides highest level of enterprise systems hardware/software maintenance and support
• Implement and troubleshoot enterprise class IT solutions
• Manage active directory, DNS, DHCP, certificate authorities, Exchange, database, file level permissions, management of group policy and organizational units
• Maintains documentation and inventory for servers, hardware and software
• Participates in the IT Change Management processes
• Participates in compliance audit activities that include audit log collection, analysis, and reporting
• Maintains system monitoring tools to ensure the integrity and availability of all IT server resources, reviewing system and application logs
• Performs daily backup operations including ensuring backups are successful and the proper disposition of media
• Add and configure new services and hardware as required in support of break-fix activities or system projects
• Performs after hours’ system support during scheduled and unscheduled outages and standard monthly patching requirements as well as license server management

• Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• 5+ years of experience in technical lead role for IT projects
• Experience with Microsoft Windows server operating systems including Active Directory and Exchange
• Experience managing virtualized and M365 environments
• Experience managing VDI technologies (VMware Horizon) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms  
• Experience with patch management software, managing server backup and recovery tools, with preferred experience in Veeam or Commvault.
• Experience using performance analysis tools to monitor systems, with performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as well as configuration of CPU, memory, and storage
• Ability to assist with developing and participating in disaster recovery exercises
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, and PDF software
• Knowledge and understanding of ITIL concepts such as Change Management
