Responsibilities
- Manage Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls within an IaaS environment, including configuring and maintaining security policies and NAT rules.
- Oversee virtual machine scale sets to ensure scalable and secure infrastructure.
- Adhere to strict change management policies during firewall and network updates.
- Potentially collapse multiple firewalls into a single device to streamline security architecture.
- Perform migrations of Checkpoint Firewalls to Palo Alto firewalls in Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and security compliance.
- Leverage Strata Cloud Manager to administer a large fleet of firewalls effectively.
- Utilize Python and Ansible scripts to automate routine security and network management tasks.
- Firewall engineer experience managing Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls in an IaaS environment.
- Expertise in managing security and NAT policies on Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Strong knowledge in managing virtual machine scale sets.
- Understanding of strict change management policies.
- Experience in integrating and migrating firewalls, particularly Checkpoint to Palo Alto in Azure.
- Experience with Strata Cloud Manager for large-scale firewall management.
- Proficiency in Python and Ansible automation tools.
