Responsibilities:
- Enter invoices from vendors and subcontractors.
- Print and mail checks with supporting documentation.
- Process check requests.
- Set up new vendors and subcontractors and request W-9 forms as needed.
- Maintain and update sales tax exemption documentation.
- Follow up on expired certificates of insurance (COIs).
- Upload and maintain accounting documents in DocuWare.
- Provide general support to the Accounting Department.
Requirements:
- Hands-on accounts payable experience, particularly invoice entry, check processing, and vendor record maintenance.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
