Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: South Saint Paul, MN
Hours/Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Rotational: Sun–Thurs, Mon–Sat)
Compensation: $35/hour
Performs maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment to reduce downtime and support operational efficiency. This role supports preventative maintenance programs and troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems while ensuring compliance with safety, OSHA, and GMP standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced in industrial maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs on production equipment
- Troubleshoot machinery, PLC systems, motors, instrumentation, and facility support equipment
- Inspect, test, and validate repairs; complete and document work orders
- Support preventative maintenance (PM) programs to reduce downtime
- Assist with equipment changeovers and line startups
- Maintain parts inventory and ensure equipment readiness
- Follow all safety procedures including Lock-out/Tag-out, OSHA, and GMP standards
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and team projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–3+ years industrial maintenance or mechanical/electrical experience
- Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and industrial systems
- Ability to lift 50–80 lbs and perform repetitive motions
- Comfortable climbing ladders, using lifts, and working at heights
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Able to work in non-air-conditioned environments and around oils, greases, and vibration
