Overview
The Production Leader oversees papermaking operations, ensuring equipment performance, product quality, and team effectiveness across the production process. This role drives operational improvements, reinforces safety standards, and develops frontline capability through hands-on leadership and training. The ideal candidate brings strong papermaking technical expertise and the ability to translate process data into measurable performance results.
Responsibilities

Lead daily papermaking operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot papermaking-specific equipment and process systems.

Develop and deliver hands-on technical training to core team members.

Utilize IWS systems to monitor in-process and output metrics and drive performance improvements.

Identify operational risks and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Resolve production issues through structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive employee feedback.
Qualifications
Required
-
Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting papermaking technology.

Demonstrated ability to develop, organize, and deliver hands-on technical training.

Working knowledge of IWS systems and performance metric tracking.

Experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment.

Degree or equivalent work experience in Business Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.

Foundational knowledge of electrical systems and components related to papermaking equipment.

Understanding of industry best practices to improve processes and systems.
