Overview
Responsibilities
- Work in various functions within manufacturing and distribution areas, including stacking, sorting, and distributing bulk product and materials.
- Support and promote safety culture by adhering to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Assist with inspection, sorting, and bagging of bulk products, removing defects such as deformed, discolored, or misshaped items.
- Manage bulk product movement from clean room to packaging area, including sorting, stacking, and tray cleaning for return to the clean room.
- Conduct visual sorting and declumping of bulk product prior to packaging.
- Supply hoppers, bottle conveyors, and raw materials required for manufacturing processes.
- Operate equipment such as heat tunnels, sealers, check weighers, and palletizers, ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards.
- Identify, retrieve, and inspect pallets, apply labels, and break down excess corrugate for bailing.
- Maintain proper communication with manufacturing, quality, and operations staff to escalate issues as needed.
- Assist in line clearance, cleaning, sanitization, and building product displays as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required for permanent employment at Church & Dwight Co., Inc.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Prior manufacturing experience in a GMP environment preferred (food, pharmaceutical, etc.).
- At least 6 months of experience in a fast-paced lean manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to work mandatory overtime as required.
- Successfully complete a Drug Screen and Criminal Background Screen.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently within a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, frequently lift 20-30 lbs, and push/pull force up to 50 lbs.
- Able to walk, stand, reach, and move around machinery for 8-12 hours per day.
