Position Summary:
Our Construction Site Superintendent
is responsible for managing all on-site construction activities for high-end, luxury residential renovation projects. This role ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader with strong experience coordinating trades, interpreting construction documents, and delivering detail-oriented interior projects.
Construction Site Superintendent - Luxury Residential Key Responsibilities:
Site Management:
- Oversee all phases of construction from start through completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, materials, and equipment
- Maintain project schedule and ensure timely completion of work
Quality Control:
- Ensure all work conforms to drawings, specifications, and design intent
- Monitor workmanship for quality, accuracy, and finish
- Identify and address deficiencies promptly
Coordination & Communication:
- Work closely with Project Managers, architects, and designers
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and field coordination issues
- Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce site safety in accordance with NYC regulations and SST requirements
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental standards
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain daily logs, reports, and site documentation
- Prepare lookahead schedules and progress updates
- Track and maintain drawings, submittals, and project records on site
Field Oversight:
- Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress and plan upcoming work
- Ensure subcontractors are executing their scope of work per contract
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
- Open and secure the job site daily
Construction Site Superintendent - Luxury Residential Qualifications:
- 5–10+ years of Superintendent experience in residential and/or interior construction.
- Experience with high-end residential renovations preferred
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proven experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors
- NYC SST 62-Hour Supervisor Card (required)
- Proficiency in Procore or similar construction management software
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
