The Controls Engineer will be responsible for projects relating to industrial furnaces, Metals (e.g. Steel, Aluminum) and related manufacturers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overall project technical responsibility and coordination.
- Software Design and functional description writing for systems.
- Purchasing specification and requisition writing
- Fabrication and panel inspections
- Customer technical meetings
- Develop and maintain project work schedules
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
- Must have initiative. Will work independently and collectively. Must possess a strong desire to learn and build technical knowledge.
- Domestic and international travel is required including potential for longer duration travel associated with startup/commissioning duties.
- Bachelor's of Science in in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science -OR- equivalent industry experience.
- 3+yrs Rockwell ControLogix PLC and HMI
- Siemens S7 PLC and VFD equipment
- RSLogix, RSView, Wonderware, Siemens Step 7.
- Previous field checkout and startup experience in an Industrial environment
