Work Model: Will start out working in the office five days a week, but can eventually work remotely one day a week.
Hours: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM | Monday-Friday
Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full-cycle, day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance.
- Manage employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Conduct regular audits of HR processes to ensure adherence to legal requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Coordinate background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and utilize the applicant tracking system for recruitment activities.
- Prepare reports on HR functions and initiatives for management.
- Assist with employee relations, performance management, and employee recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and FLSA.
- Support payroll functions, including accurate reporting and wage garnishments.
- Handle employment-related inquiries, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
- Support employee separation processes such as exit interviews and COBRA notifications.
- Stay current with HR best practices, trends, and regulatory changes.
- Support special projects and perform other related duties as required.
Human Resources Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or a minimum of four (4) years of related work experience, or a combination of both.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct HR experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Physical ability to lift up to 15 pounds and access all organizational facilities.
