Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor furnaces to maintain safe and efficient production processes
- Charge and clean furnaces using various tools and equipment
- Drain, transfer, or remove molten metal and pour it into molds
- Collect metal samples for analysis and perform quality inspections
- Regulate furnace temperature and adjust fuel and air supplies
- Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and bobcats
- Inspect equipment and work area, perform maintenance and safety checks
- Record production data and maintain logs accurately
- Perform manual lifting, packaging, labeling, and sorting as needed
- Report any defective materials or unsafe conditions to supervision
- Execute procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- At least three years of foundry or production environment experience
- Valid Driver License and forklift certification or ability to become certified
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and work in extreme heat conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
