Overview
A leading biotechnology company focused on advancing next-generation antibody-based therapeutics is seeking a Scientist / Associate Scientist to join their antibody engineering team. This individual will contribute to the design, engineering, and evaluation of monoclonal and bispecific antibodies supporting early discovery and development efforts. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge therapeutic programs in a collaborative research environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and engineer antibody DNA constructs using molecular biology techniques
- Perform PCR, cloning, mutagenesis, RNA isolation, and sequence analysis
- Conduct immunoassays such as ELISA to evaluate antibody function, stability, and serum clearance
- Analyze antibody performance using platforms such as ELISA, flow cytometry, and Octet
- Apply molecular and computational tools to optimize antibody affinity and developability
- Support experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of antibody engineering results
- Document experimental procedures, results, and conclusions in lab notebooks and internal systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance antibody discovery programs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with 3–5+ years of experience OR Master’s degree with 1–2+ years of experienc
- Strong hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques including cloning, mutagenesis, and sequencing analysi
- Experience performing ELISA and other immunoassays for protein/antibody evaluatio
- Familiarity with plasmid mapping and sequence analysis tools (e.g., SnapGene
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism, Excel, SoftMax
- Exposure to antibody engineering techniques such as phage display or bio-panning is a plu
- Basic programming or computational experience (Python, R, or VBA) is a plu
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
