Responsibilities
- Perform physical, chemical, or bioanalytical characterization of finished product or raw material test samples using various chemistry techniques and scientific methods.
- Operate instrumentation such as pH meters, spectrophotometers, pipettes, and other basic lab equipment.
- Prepare samples, including formulation weighing, transferring, and mixing powders and liquids.
- Maintain accurate notebook documentation of experimental procedures and data.
- Review reports and ensure compliance with quality systems.
- Follow detailed instructions on assignment objectives with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Spend significant time in the laboratory performing analyses and technical tasks.
- Understand how data affects business decisions and prepare reports detailing findings and recommended solutions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field.
- Relevant experience in an academic or industrial laboratory setting, emphasizing notebook documentation.
- Ability to analyze and document various data types.
- Proficiency in operating basic lab equipment including pH meters, pipettes, spectrophotometers, etc.
- Strong math skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience following lab procedures and safety behaviors.
- Ability to formulate and prepare solutions by weighing, combining, transferring, and mixing powders and liquids.
