Hours: 40 hours/week, 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday-Friday
Machinist Responsibilities:
- Operate metalworking tools to machine parts that meet specifications and quality requirements.
- Assist manufacturing to minimize unplanned downtime and improve Overall Equipment Efficiency.
- Maintain a clean workspace and organized tooling cabinet.
- Contribute to a multi-departmental team to resolve manufacturing problems.
- Design jigs, fixtures, and other equipment to enhance production efficiency.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, safety practices, and OSHA regulations.
- Recognize wasteful processes and implement improvements to increase production speed and efficiency.
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments and knowledge of trigonometry.
- Document process procedures during product development and prototyping phases.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Machinist Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience; 5+ years preferred.
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of welding techniques for plastics and metals.
- Good communication skills for collaboration with operations personnel and management.
- Ability to operate mobile equipment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings, with knowledge of quality requirements.
- Self-directed with limited supervision.
- Ability to work from prints, sketches, and instructions.
- Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Experience programming Bridgeport CNC Mill for part creation and modifications.
- Proficient with various hand and power tools, CNC machines, and lathes.
- Capable of lifting and moving objects up to 60 lbs.
- Walking and standing on concrete surfaces for 8+ hours daily.
