Overview
The Pre-Operative Planning Representative creates accurate digital anatomical models and surgical plans used in robotically assisted hip and knee replacement procedures. This onsite role is well suited for a detail-oriented producer with strong computer skills, an interest in anatomy or medical imaging, and the ability to follow precise work instructions in a high-volume production environment.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage cases using a proprietary case management system.
- Review CT scans for conformity with Mako Surgical protocol.
- Segment CT scans using specialized software to create 3D anatomical bone models for robotic surgery.
- Develop pre-operative surgical plans for robotically assisted total hip and total knee replacement procedures.
- Review CT segmentations and surgical plans for anatomical landmark accuracy, implant sizing, and implant positioning.
- Upload completed pre-operative plans to field-based personnel.
- Document all activities according to prescribed methods and procedures.
- Follow detailed work instructions to deliver accurate, consistent output.
- Meet individual production goals that support team and department targets.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience required; associate degree or higher may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Proficiency with computer-based systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work onsite during 1st shift core hours.
- Ability to work overtime as business needs require, including occasional weeks exceeding 55 hours.
- Experience or certification in radiology, including CT, X-ray, or MRI, preferred.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop preferred.
- Certification in graphic design or a related field preferred.
- Completion of college-level anatomy coursework preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
