Full-Time | Direct Hire Opportunity
System One is currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a growing client in the Claremore area. This position is ideal for someone with accounting, accounts receivable, or accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
- Review sales orders, contracts, and pricing information for accuracy.
- Record and apply customer payments including checks, ACH, credit cards, and wire transfers.
- Monitor customer accounts and identify payment discrepancies.
- Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and customer correspondence.
Collections & Customer Communication
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts.
- Send account statements and payment reminders as needed.
- Communicate with customers to resolve billing questions, disputes, and account inquiries.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Partner with internal departments to address and resolve account issues.
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices and payments.
- Respond to supplier inquiries via phone and email.
- Reconcile supplier statements within the ERP system.
- Research and resolve missing invoices related to purchase order receipts.
- Monitor supplier past-due accounts and communicate concerns to management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or General Accounting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Epicor, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment.
