Summary:
Manage payments, invoices, and collections, ensuring seamless financial transactions contributing to our organization's success.
The ideal candidate will possess solid working knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
Accounts Payable Clerk Job Duties:
- Process payments and invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, resolve discrepancies, and address outstanding balances.
- Monitor and manage outstanding accounts, proactively following up on overdue payments.
- Resolve discrepancies and issues related to accounts payable/receivable, working collaboratively with internal teams and external parties.
- Prepare reports for management, providing insights on aging balances and financial information.
- Maintain organized filing systems for easy retrieval and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and meet payment deadlines, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Respond to inquiries from vendors and customers regarding billing, payments, and account information.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Accounts Payable Clerk Job Requirements:
- High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
- Previous related experience required.
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Must be able to learn other accounting software systems. Experience in Appfolio and Sage Intact is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
