Responsibilities
- Provide analysis and development of specifications and review prepared programming specifications
- Develop detailed system designs and review approved system designs with the project team
- Develop application code and review code that requires modification
- Develop and coordinate technical implementation plan
- Unit test application code and assist with system testing
- Prepare and update all necessary documentation
- Perform implementation activities
- Provide production support including on-call rotation and technical assistance to end-user and IT staff
- Review schedules, objectives, and priorities with service manager
- Initiate suggestions for improvement to systems and procedures
- Assist with routine work of the department as required
- Experience with financials reconciliation software (Accurate strongly preferred; Trintech or Frontier considered if SQL skills are exceptional)
- Expert-level SQL development experience, including creating and modifying stored procedures, SSIS packages, SQL Server Agent jobs, and complex SQL and T-SQL queries
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills focused on SQL code accuracy and data validation
- Proficiency in SSRS report development and maintenance
- Experience with object-oriented concepts and design principles
- Application DBA experience, including index tuning, performance troubleshooting, reviewing execution plans, testing and tuning SQL logic, and resolving SQL-related issues
- Full understanding of SQL Server security configuration, including SQL logins, permissions, roles, and linked servers
- Willingness to work across multiple technologies beyond PeopleSoft, including modern tools and AI-driven solutions
- Like to Haves: Experience with PeopleSoft Financials or other ERP financial applications, and additional programming languages such as .NET, Java, Python, PowerShell
- Experience with automation and integration tools such as Jenkins and Azure Document Intelligence
- Experience supporting multiple enterprise applications in parallel
- Openness to exploring and adopting new technologies, including AI-based automation
- Ability to work independently on complex, technical tasks
- Ability to organize and lead initiatives or complex assignments
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
