Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom connectors between Tenable and internal tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and CMDB.
- Use the pyTenable library to automate recurring tasks like scan scheduling, asset tagging, and report generation.
- Build ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to move vulnerability data into data lakes or custom BI dashboards.
- Integrate Tenable specialized scans (Container Security, Web App Scanning) into Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
- Manage API keys, permissions, and rate-limiting to ensure secure and efficient access to the Tenable platform.
- Proficiency in Python (specifically for pyTenable) or Go/Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with Tenable.io, Tenable.sc, or Tenable One API endpoints.
- Expert knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON payloads, and authentication headers.
- Experience automating security in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Proficiency with Postman, Git, and Docker.
- Preferred: Experience with Tenable.ot for industrial security integrations.
- Preferred: Certification in Tenable (e.g., Tenable.io Specialist) or Security (e.g., Security+, CEH).
- Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or DevOps.
