Responsibilities
- Support engineering teams by performing technical tasks under close supervision, utilizing advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Create and modify site plans, grading designs, and utility layouts using industry-standard design tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation.
- Assist in the development of high-quality engineering deliverables for infrastructure projects supporting Distributed Network projects like Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Participate in evaluating methods used in design activities to support continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Ensure deliverables are accurate and compliant with established standards, systems, and BV policies by adhering to the BV Quality Program.
- Support coordination of deliverables with other project disciplines to reduce errors and interferences.
- Assist with minor technical tasks such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.
- Proactively seek and share knowledge of emerging technologies and processes relevant to civil engineering design.
- Diploma or Certificate required; Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
- Typically a minimum of 1 year related work experience.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with digital tools and design software such as CAD, BIM, 3D modeling.
- Ability to create, modify, and maintain technical documents and drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
