Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage daily financial transactions and perform high-volume bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial records, resolve discrepancies, and support the accounting team with reporting and general bookkeeping duties.
Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
- Review and resolve account discrepancies and outstanding transactions
- Record financial transactions accurately in the accounting system
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records
- Process deposits, payments, and journal entries
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting
- Maintain organized and accurate financial files and records
- Communicate with banks and internal departments regarding account activity
Bookkeeper Qualifications:
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required
- Strong experience with bank reconciliations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
- Understanding of general accounting principles
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
