Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with strong knowledge of sales tax requirements across multiple U.S. states. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in managing financial records, sales tax filings, and day-to-day accounting functions.
Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare and file sales tax reports for multiple states
- Monitor sales tax compliance and registration requirements
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting
- Process invoices, payments, and expense tracking
- Work closely with management and outside accountants as needed
- Previous bookkeeping experience required
- Strong understanding of multi-state sales tax rules and filings
Bookkeeper Qualifications:
- Must have knowledge of sales tax across multiple states
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
