Job Title: Core Thermal Hydraulics Engineer

Compensation: $69.00 - $115.00 per hour
Contractor Work Model: Remote
Hours: 40.0 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal-hydraulics analysis using in-house subchannel software to evaluate reactor core scenarios and support safety design parameters
• Develop and verify calculation products in accordance with the company's quality assurance policies and procedures
• Deliver complete and accurate analytical reports and deliverables, ensuring compliance with performance guarantees, specifications, and legal requirements
• Support the test program and contribute to methodology development and analysis for the sodium-cooled Natrium Reactor project
• Collaborate effectively with team members, communicate analysis results clearly, and uphold high standards of trust, integrity, and teamwork

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Nuclear, or relevant Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in thermal hydraulic analysis with a B.S. degree, or 8+ years with an M.S. or Ph.D. degree, demonstrating high-quality work
• Extensive experience in nuclear systems thermal-hydraulic behavior and analyses
• Proficiency in advanced liquid metal-cooled nuclear reactor core design and analysis software (e.g., SE2-ANL, COBRA, VIPRE)
• Strong understanding of uncertainty quantification, verification and validation techniques
• Excellent communication skills and a high degree of trust and integrity
