Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for metal fabrication projects.
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and sketches.
- Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to ensure that designs meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify drawings.
- Ensure that all drawings and plans adhere to applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of material lists, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Conduct site visits and field measurements as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve design issues and ensure project success.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
