Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for global pharmacovigilance activities for investigational and marketed products.
- Ensure pharmacovigilance deliverables meet global regulatory reporting timelines and high-quality standards.
- Manage data analysis and oversee the use of the integrated database utilized by worldwide pharmacovigilance personnel.
- Assist in project implementation, system improvements, and provide safety ongoing business support.
- Coordinate safety data analysis, review, processing, and evaluation to prepare aggregate reports.
- Support responses to regulatory agency requests and develop safety-related queries and reports.
- Develop training documentation and work instructions to ensure compliance with SOPs, WPs, and legislation.
- Act as Signal Analyst handling signal management activities, including detection report extractions.
- Maintain quality and compliance with legal requirements, participate in audits, inspections, and CAPAs.
- Manage submission of safety reports, liaise with Regulatory Affairs, and ensure legislative compliance.
- Support database configuration updates, and provide business administration support for drug safety applications.
- Review scientific literature and bibliographic searches, define search strategies, and determine actions.
Requirements
- University degree in health sciences/biosciences or IT with pharmacovigilance experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant pharmacovigilance experience and 2 years managing databases.
- Knowledge of pharmacovigilance practices, regulations, and safety-data administration.
- Proactive, results-oriented with strong attention to detail and good judgment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Windows 7 and MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word).
- Familiarity with validation of computer systems and GMP environments preferred.
- Knowledge of E2b (R2)/(R3), MedDRA, WHO Drug, and reporting tools like Business Objects is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel internationally when necessary.
