Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair electrical equipment and instrumentation.
- Monitor, maintain, and repair plant Distributed Control System (DCS).
- Inspect, maintain, and repair gas turbine, steam turbine control systems, generators, transformers, and switchgear.
- Calibrate and repair plant electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Perform routine troubleshooting activities.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to efficiently complete maintenance tasks.
- Optimize plant preventative maintenance programs to meet OEM, regulatory, and corporate standards.
- Maintain accurate logs, manuals, records, blueprints, and procedures in a professional manner.
- Provide written reports on control system conditions when required.
- Incorporate safe work practices and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Identify and manage risks associated with work activities.
- Apply technical expertise to complex service/support duties and make decisions on escalated issues.
- Prioritize weekly schedules and guide others within the team as needed.
- Train colleagues in complex technical skills and share knowledge effectively.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; technical/vocational degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in instrument/electrical and control system applications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with an advanced understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics.
- Experience with DCS programming and configuration.
- Advanced certifications or licensures applicable to the role.
- Valid state driver’s license.
