Responsibilities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating, monitoring, and escalating roadblocks that could cause downstream defects.
- Operate heavy equipment including PIT equipment/forklifts, electronic pallet jacks, reach-trucks, and turret-trucks, ensuring safety and maintenance procedures are followed.
- Receive shipments by unloading deliveries from carriers and inspecting packages for compliance with SOP standards.
- Perform quality control checks on incoming parts, reviewing requirements and processing accordingly.
- Document receipts and work orders using appropriate tools, ensuring accurate data entry and record-keeping.
- Navigate inventory management systems to input data, read information, and manage inventory modules effectively.
- Identify and apply proper packaging methods for parts, ensuring secure storage and workflow integrity.
- Sort, stage, and move packages or storage containers, securing items to prevent loss during operations.
- Label and mark parts with identifiers as outlined in SOPs for proper tracking and analysis.
- Assign storage locations and perform audits to ensure proper storage practices are followed, maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Experience in fulfillment operations, including inventory counting, receiving, and packing.
- Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material experience.
- Experience with receiving, put-away, picking/kitting, or shipping inventory.
- Willingness to drive a forklift with training.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Fundamental knowledge of operating heavy equipment such as PIT equipment, forklifts, reach-trucks, and turret-trucks.
- Strong attention to detail for inspecting shipments and performing quality control checks.
- Proficiency in data entry and navigating inventory management tools.
- Ability to identify appropriate packaging and ensure proper labeling and storage of parts.
- Good judgment and adherence to SOPs for storage and inventory audits.
