Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain organization's network infrastructure ensuring security, performance, and reliability
- Configure, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls
- Convert layer 4 rules to layer 7 using userID and appID
- Create custom appID’s for network security policies
- Manage Checkpoint firewalls in an IaaS environment (preferred)
- Deploy Palo Alto firewalls in an IaaS environment (preferred)
- Leverage python scripts to automate network tasks (preferred)
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
- 5+ years of experience managing Palo Alto firewalls
- Knowledge of converting rules from layer 4 to layer 7 using userID and appID
- Experience creating custom appID’s
- Proven experience managing Palo Alto infrastructure including upgrades and configuration
- Preferred: Experience managing Checkpoint firewalls in an IaaS environment
- Preferred: Deployment experience with Palo Alto firewalls in an IaaS environment
- Ability to leverage Python scripts for automation
- Understanding of networking protocols, devices, firewalls, routers, VPNs, and network monitoring tools
