Java Developer W2 ONLY Role does not support applicants requiring sponsorship NOW OR in THE FUTURE
12-month contract-to-hire, 100% remote, conversion salary $82,500 - $95,000.
All interviews will be held virtually through MS Teams. IF candidate cannot appear on a Video interview will be cancelled. Contractors may onboard and work remotely.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and support front-end features using Angular.
- Develop and maintain SQL objects (tables, stored procedures, views, functions) within IBM DB2 and SQL Server.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration efforts.
- Utilize Git for source control and Jira for work tracking and sprint planning.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications to improve performance and reliability.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and propose enhancements to system design and development practices.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
- Proven experience with Java and full-stack Java development, including Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development.
- Working knowledge of Node.js (light experience acceptable).
- Proficiency with SQL Server and IBM DB2, including writing complex queries and stored procedures.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with Git version control workflows.
- Experience using Jira for task management and sprint execution.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
