Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory testing using Classical Chemistry, Chromatographic, and ICP Spectrophotometric equipment
- Support analytical investigations for new business opportunities in Urethanes, Lubricants/Additives, and Plastic Additives
- Conduct wet chemistry testing and analysis
- Operate and maintain GC and HPLC instrumentation
- Manage laboratory-generated hazardous waste in compliance with RCRA standards
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and emergency response protocols
- Participate in required compliance and safety training
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
Requirements
- B.S. in Chemistry
- 0-2 years of related industry experience
- Knowledge of Chromatography (GC, HPLC, GPC, Liquid and Gas Chromatography)
- Practical knowledge of Classical Chemistry techniques (Titrations, Melt Point, Viscosity, Karl Fischer, etc.)
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to work on-site 5 days per week
- Entry-level candidates encouraged; training provided for the right candidate
