Overview
Responsibilities
- Assist the tax team in all aspects of tax functions including resolving tax notices, and preparing filing for sales, use, and specialty tax returns.
- Support payroll providers with registration, filings, and withdrawals related to state withholding, unemployment, and other payroll accounts.
- Prepare and file various tax types such as franchise, excise, personal property, and gross receipts taxes.
- Assist with corporate registrations, annual reports, and address tax notices promptly.
- Participate in tax audits and conduct research on tax-related issues, summarizing findings for management and departments.
- Organize and maintain tax records and documents in compliance with legal standards.
- Support in federal, state, and international tax payments and other ad hoc reporting tasks.
- Perform additional duties as required by the tax team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
- 0-2 years of accounting experience
- Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strict attention to detail, highly organized and efficient
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High integrity and confidentiality
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
