Responsibilities
- Set up and operate laser cutting machine.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
- Adjust machine settings to optimize cutting quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laser equipment.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, using measuring tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Collaborate with production teams to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of experience operating CNC laser cutting machines required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of machine setup and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with sheet metal types, gauges, and properties.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with machine programming.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles
