About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise cloud environment. This is a hands-on technical role focused on AWS infrastructure engineering, cloud migration, automation, platform support, troubleshooting, and production operations.
This is not a people-management position. The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor with deep AWS expertise who enjoys solving complex technical issues, supporting mission-critical production environments, and implementing cloud-native solutions at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support AWS cloud infrastructure in production environments.
- Perform cloud migrations, modernization efforts, and application onboarding to AWS.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, performance, and application issues.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
- Develop automation solutions using Python, Ansible, and AWS-native services.
- Support Kubernetes and containerized workloads running in AWS.
- Monitor system health, performance, reliability, and security across cloud platforms.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring issues.
- Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to improve platform stability and operational efficiency.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to streamline deployments and operations.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of IT infrastructure, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or DevOps experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience supporting production environments.
- Strong experience with AWS services including:
- EC2
- VPC
- IAM
- S3
- RDS
- Lambda
- CloudWatch
- CloudTrail
- EKS
- Direct Connect
- Expertise with Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, and Ansible.
- Strong Python and Linux/Bash scripting experience.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, and Artifactory.
- AWS Certification preferred (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or similar).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Amazon EKS, ECS, and Docker.
- Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or production operations.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, AppDynamics, or Jaeger.
- Understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and container platforms.
- Exposure to AWS AI/ML services such as SageMaker or Bedrock.
