Responsibilities
- Perform clerical tasks of record-keeping, coordination, communication, and correspondence to facilitate the transportation of goods from vendors to recipients.
- Prepare, process, and maintain documents required for trading goods, such as application forms, sales or purchase orders, permissions, approvals, and contracts.
- Keep track of all specifics related to incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring accurate electronic and/or paper files.
- Answer billing questions and discuss content with relevant parties.
- Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock levels.
- Select transportation methods based on size, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Notify material handlers of items to be pulled from inventory and schedule pickups.
- Examine incoming orders for damage, verify accuracy, and update inventory records.
- Keep clients informed about their order statuses.
- Handle replacements for incorrect or damaged goods and file claims with carriers as needed.
- Communicate daily activities with departmental leaders as part of the logistics team.
Requirements
- Experience performing clerical duties and data entry in a professional office setting.
- Experience in a logistics office with exposure to domestic and international paperwork.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and handle detailed documentation.
- Basic Office 365 skills
- Communication and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
- Ability to engage and influence across multiple business partners.
