Job Title: Machine Operator Tier 1 - First Shift Location: Chanhassen, MN Type: Contract Pay: $22.00/hour Work Model: On-site Schedule: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with mandatory overtime every other Saturday Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) clearance from the U.S. State Department Responsibilities - Operate production machinery while continuously monitoring quality of output and machine performance. - Perform small machine adjustments using company-supplied hand tools and other supplies as needed. - Maintain equipment in good working order and complete required documentation/logs (production, inventory, ISO controls, finished goods). - Shred destruction materials and stock materials in preparation for production. - Weekly cleaning of the shop floor (sweeping, trash removal). - Assist other operators as needed, including machine coverage during breaks/lunch. - Review job sheets and approved proofs to determine customer specifications. - Communicate quality/production/maintenance issues to the Production Supervisor or Manager. - Diagnose and repair minor machine issues; provide feedback about training/manuals. - Provide shift handoff information during transitions. Requirements - U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Basic math skills and familiarity with basic hand tools. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (typing and Excel). - Ability to prioritize workload and troubleshoot routine machine issues. - Ability to document checklists and interpret SOPs. - Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds; repetitive motion and good hand-eye coordination. - Ability to distinguish colors across the spectrum. - Up to 1 year of manufacturing or machine/IT experience preferred; technical education/experience preferred.
