Responsibilities
- Perform advanced machine setup, process troubleshooting, and ensure all processes achieve required tolerances
- Lead process improvements and mentor lower-level employees
- Hone Koyo Centerless Grind CNC drill operations
- Troubleshoot mechanical, setup, quality, and process issues
- Achieve and maintain tolerances below .0005 independently
- Collaborate with quality and engineering to resolve quality issues
- Train and mentor Machinists 1, 2, and Operators
- Document and refine setup procedures and standard work instructions
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Assist with machine repair and preventive maintenance
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and production standards
- Maintain autonomous maintenance schedule
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years machining experience
- Expert in precision machining and tolerances below .0005
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and GD&T
- Leadership and mentoring experience
- Experience with CNC programming and advanced setup preferred
