- Manage the full recruiting lifecycle from job intake through offer and onboarding.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand technical requirements, team needs, and hiring priorities.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill manufacturing and technical positions.
- Recruit for positions such as Machinists, CNC Machinists, Welders, Assemblers, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality/QA professionals, Maintenance, and other technical roles.
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, professional networks, social media, employee referrals, and other recruiting channels.
- Conduct initial candidate interviews and assess technical experience, work history, communication skills, and overall fit for the position.
- Present qualified candidates to hiring managers with clear summaries of their experience and qualifications.
- Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting activity in the applicant tracking system.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
- Coordinate interviews, provide timely candidate communication, and help ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Partner with hiring managers to continually improve job descriptions, sourcing strategies, and candidate requirements.
- Track recruiting activity and provide regular updates on open positions, pipelines, and hiring progress.
- Stay informed about local manufacturing labor-market conditions and recruiting challenges in the Chattanooga area.
Requirements
- 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, skilled trades, or technical recruiting.
- Demonstrated success recruiting difficult-to-fill positions.
- Experience recruiting skilled manufacturing and/or technical talent.
- Ability to understand technical job requirements and translate them into effective candidate searches.
- Strong sourcing and candidate-development skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively with hiring managers and candidates at all levels.
- Strong organization and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple openings simultaneously.
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a team.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, job boards, and other recruiting technology.
Preferred Experience
Experience recruiting for one or more of the following is highly desirable: CNC Machining, Precision Machining, Welding and Fabrication, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance / Quality Control, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Assembly, Maintenance, Skilled Trades, Heavy Manufacturing.
