Responsibilities
- Interpret layout drawings and Bills of Materials.
- Use measuring devices to mark holes and cutouts on enclosures and backplates.
- Operate drills, taps, punches, and saws for mounting and access holes.
- Label and assemble backplate components.
- Prepare enclosures for painting.
- Assist with wiring per electrical schematics.
- Transfer drawing layouts, drill, punch, and cut metal enclosures and backplates.
- Gather appropriate parts for panel build, read electrical schematics, create markers, and wire panels.
- Help prepare panels for testing and painting, and provide shop support.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years in metalworking or equivalent.
- Proficiency in transferring layout drawings to enclosures.
- Competence in using metal fabrication tools for accurate hole-making.
- Basic understanding of electrical components.
- Experience with power tools such as drills, taps, punches, and saws.
- Ability to read measuring tools in metric, fractional, and decimal formats.
- Must provide own hand tools and workboots.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Must pass a physical examination.
