System One is actively recruiting for an Outage & Switching Coordinator to support outage coordination and distribution switching activities. This onsite role is critical to ensuring safe, accurate, and timely switching procedures in support of construction and maintenance operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with distribution electrical systems, strong coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple switch plans in a fast-paced operational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Write and coordinate distribution switching procedures in compliance with safety policies and guidelines.
- Schedule and manage switch plans, ensuring timely review, approval, and execution.
- Coordinate closely with the control center throughout the switch planning lifecycle.
- Review upcoming switching needs, prioritize workloads, and manage scheduling timelines.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve questions and ensure smooth handoffs.
- Track approvals, follow up on outstanding items, and support operational execution.
- Support internal construction and maintenance teams by minimizing delays and rework.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a lineman within a distribution electrical system.
- Strong understanding of distribution operations and switching procedures.
- Experience coordinating schedules and working across operational teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle NMS.
- Prior outage coordination or control center interaction experience.
