Responsibilities
- Prepare material take-offs including pipe, fittings, valves, to support various cost estimates as required by the project
- Perform design checks on compliance with the layout rules specific to piping design (distance between runs, position of welds and openings)
- Develop the design and drafting of complex piping drawings given basic information such as P&ID's, GA's, piping specifications, equipment arrangement drawings
- Coordinate with Piping Engineering Team and other design disciplines to resolve issues
- Develop piping models including studies and layouts
- Create piping transpositions and manual material take-offs
- Reviewing vendor and in-house coordination drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Able to extract reports from the modeling software
- Review and check bill of material reports extracted from models
- GED
- Previous experience in piping design and drafting
- Knowledge of piping specifications, P&ID's, GA's, and equipment layout
- Proficiency with piping modeling software and report extraction
- Strong coordination and communication skills
