Position Summary

System One is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the execution of natural gas power generation projects tied to large-scale energy infrastructure. This role will focus on the installation, integration, and commissioning of Siemens SGT-800 gas turbine units and associated balance-of-plant systems.

The Project Manager will act on the owner’s side, coordinating OEMs, EPC contractors, and field construction teams to ensure safe, on-schedule, and on-budget delivery of generation assets.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Lead gas turbine installation from delivery through commissioning
• Coordinate OEM activities (Siemens Energy)
• Oversee EPC contractor execution and performance
• Track project schedule, budget, and risk mitigation efforts
• Support startup, commissioning, and turnover activities

Technical Coordination

• Interface with mechanical, electrical, controls, and commissioning teams
• Monitor construction progress against key milestones
• Identify and resolve field execution issues

Commercial Oversight

• Manage contractor scopes and change orders
• Monitor project cost exposure and forecasting
• Support procurement coordination and logistics tracking for long-lead equipment

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure HSSE compliance across all contractors and site activities
• Promote and support a strong site safety culture
• Participate in risk assessments and safety reviews

Stakeholder Management

• Report to program leadership and key stakeholders
• Interface with engineering and project partners
• Support owner-side reporting cadence and project updates

Required Experience

Must Have:

• 7–15+ years of experience in power generation projects
• Direct experience with gas turbine installation and/or commissioning
• Experience with major OEMs (Siemens, GE, or Mitsubishi)
• EPC project execution experience
• Field construction management exposure

Strongly Preferred:

• Experience with Siemens SGT-800 turbines
• Background in combined cycle or simple cycle power plants
• Owner’s representative experience
• Startup and commissioning involvement
• Experience on fast-track or large-scale infrastructure projects
