Overview
A leading environmental testing laboratory is seeking a Sample Preparatory Technician to support high-volume operations. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role ideal for individuals who thrive in detail-oriented environments and enjoy staying active throughout the day. With significant growth and increased sample volume, this is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team and gain valuable lab operations experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and fulfill client orders by assembling bottles with specified solutions/media
- Label bottles, kits, and packages accurately for shipment
- Package and stage materials for delivery to clients
- Store prepared samples and materials under appropriate temperature-controlled conditions
- Log and track incoming and outgoing materials within internal systems
- Support sample handling, organization, and workflow within the lab
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces to ensure efficient operations
- Assist with inventory, stocking supplies, and general lab support tasks
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to double-check work for accuracy
- Basic computer skills (data entry, tracking systems, order entry)
- Ability to multitask and stay organized throughout the day
- Background in food service, retail, or other fast-paced environments is highly transferable
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer
