System One IT is staffing a direct-hire opening for a Senior Oracle Enterprise Architect with a respected systems integrator, supporting a civilian federal end-customer. This is a hybrid position, 4 days a week on-site in Merrifield, VA. Based on federal requirements, candidates must be US citizens and eligible to pass a Public Trust security clearance.
Experience
- 10+ years of IT experience, with significant experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or Oracle database architecture.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Database 21c (or 19c/21c upgrades and migrations).
- Experience designing enterprise-scale, high-availability database environments.
- Proven experience leading architecture and digital transformation initiatives.
Technical Skills
- Oracle Database 21c administration and architecture.
- Database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
- Performance tuning, SQL optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Backup and recovery using RMAN.
- High Availability technologies:
- Oracle RAC
- Data Guard
- ASM Automatic Storage Management
- Multitenant Architecture (CDB/PDB)
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming.

- Knowledge of database security, encryption, auditing, and compliance.
