Overview
Join a leading medical technology manufacturer as a Quality Engineer supporting critical quality systems, supplier quality, and continuous improvement initiatives in a highly regulated environment. In this contract role, you'll lead root cause investigations, drive CAPA and nonconformance activities, support validation projects, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure product and process excellence. Responsibilities
- Investigate nonconformances, CAPAs, and quality issues, leading cross-functional problem-solving sessions to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Perform detailed root cause analysis and support validation protocols and reports.
- Manage non-conformances, including tracking, closure, and communication with suppliers regarding SCARs and SICRs.
- Support manufacturing transfers, process improvements, and validation activities, including process and equipment validation, change management, and documentation reviews.
- Collaborate with teams across manufacturing, engineering, regulatory, and compliance to ensure product and process quality standards are met.
- Maintain and monitor KPIs related to process and product quality, analyzing trends and initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Support internal and supplier-driven audits, ensuring compliance with regulated industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s of Science degree, preferably in Engineering or a related scientific field; minimum of three years experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in root cause analysis, CAPA management, and quality system tools like TrackWise.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple urgent issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with validation processes, including PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, control plans, and process flow diagrams, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of relevant tools and systems such as MasterControl, SAP, and quality methodologies preferred.
