Job Title: Inventory & Office Assistant
Location: Parlin, NJ
Type: Temp-to-hire
Compensation: $20–$24 per hour (based on experience)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Preforms basic cycle counts (regular inventory checks) on finished products, supplies, and materials
- Sort parts by size and put them in the correct bins
- Stocks and restocks items in inventory
- Keeps paperwork and files organized and easy to find
- Uses a tape measure to measure and label usable scrap (conveyor belt material)
- Helps file, copy, scan, and create digital documents (like customer orders or invoices). A coworker will train and review your work.
- Helps with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), including entering invoice information and making basic journal entries when needed
- Enters information into the company’s ERP system (computer system for tracking orders/inventory)
- Helps process online orders by printing shipping labels and work orders for the Production team
- Works closely with the Office Manager
- Preforms other office/administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required (some college or extra training is a plus)
- At least 6 months of warehouse support experience
- Comfortable doing basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide, basic fractions are a must)
- Must understand basic fractions and be able to read a tape measure correctly (feet, inches, etc.)
- Basic computer skills required, including working with an ERP/database system and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to numbers and accuracy
- Must be open to temp-to-hire work (this is required)
- No remote work (this job is on-site)
