Overview
We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Welder with a minimum of five (5) years of welding and fabrication experience. This position is responsible for performing high-quality TIG and flux core welding on carbon steel and stainless steel pressure boundary and structural components. The ideal candidate will possess strong fabrication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and flux core welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components.
- Fabricate, assemble, and weld pressure boundary and structural components according to specifications and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, welding procedures, and fabrication documents.
- Complete welds that meet ASME Section IX and AWS quality requirements.
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, integrity, and adherence to applicable codes and standards.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support shop and field operations as needed.
- Work overtime as required to meet project schedules and customer commitments.
- Minimum of 5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
- Proficient in TIG and flux core welding processes.
- Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel materials.
- Ability to pass ASME Section IX and AWS X-ray 6G welding qualifications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift materials up to 75 pounds as required.
