RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide design and calculation for steel structures, concrete buildings and foundations using RISA and/or STAAD. Provide load and engineering calculations using MathCAD.
Provide concrete building, foundation and steel structural details including roofing, IMP and wall panels, doors, windows, etc.
Provide steel connection calculations, designs, and drawings.
Provide, review, and approve shop drawings and detail drawings.
Communicate effectively among customers and other engineers.
Field evaluating and gathering the required information.
Project site travel up to 25 to 30%.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor's or master's degree in civil or structural engineering is required. PE, SE, or PENG license is required.
Must be proficient with STAAD or RISA, and structural engineering design, requiring minimum 5 years of design experience, minimum of 5 years of field experience.
Strong knowledge of building design codes.
Strong understanding of structural construction, general and detail drawings, fabrication drawings, and bill of materials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Excellent time-management skills to meet promised schedules and attention to detail are a must. Strong work ethic and flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as necessary.
Capable of working on multi-faceted engineering design projects of any magnitude while requiring minimal supervision
