Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to engineers and scientists on a variety of technical tasks
- Develop and recommend procedures and methods, and prepare technical reports and documentation
- Perform technical evaluations of events to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions
- Work within the Technical Specialty/Skilled Trade Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines
- Follow well-defined procedures and guidelines to aid in decision making
- Utilize knowledge acquired through experience, specialized education, or training
- Apply basic understanding of work routines and procedures within own discipline
- Work within well-defined procedures that may involve a variety of work routines
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM OR Engineering or Minimum of 2 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with materials characterization and analytical equipment such as DSC, FTIR, SEM/EDX, optical microscope, and MicroCT is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with medical devices and medical-grade polymers and metals is a plus
