Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for global R&D organization, ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and decision support
- Serve as primary finance partner to R&D leadership, providing insights on investment, risk, speed-to-market, and cost management
- Manage R&D FP&A activities including operating expense and headcount planning, capital and investment tracking, and ROI analysis
- Guide R&D leaders through scenario analysis, planning assumptions, and trade-offs to align with enterprise financial objectives
- Develop models to assess financial impacts, capacity utilization, and risk exposure across R&D projects and pipelines
- Lead, coach, and develop Financial Analysts supporting R&D, setting expectations for excellence and analytical rigor
- Deliver clear and actionable financial reports to FP&A leadership and executive stakeholders
- Drive continuous process improvement and partner with corporate FP&A on standardization and system enhancements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance roles
- Experience partnering with R&D teams
- Experience working in a regulated industry
- Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization
- Expert-level financial planning, forecasting, and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of R&D cost structures, portfolio economics, and capitalization concepts
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through complexity
- Demonstrated leadership, judgment, and accountability mindset
