Director of Finance & Accounting
The Director of Finance is responsible for leading all fiscal functions of the organization in accordance with GAAP and best practices for manufacturing and S-Corporations. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this role supports the company’s strategic vision through financial planning, reporting, policy development, internal controls, and cash management. The position also oversees select administrative functions and insurance programs.
Key Responsibilities

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for executive leadership and Board presentations.

Develop and enhance financial policies, procedures, systems, and internal controls.

Manage general ledger, monthly reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Oversee transaction tax compliance (sales/use and property tax) and coordinate financial audits.

Direct cash flow planning, banking relationships, and treasury management strategies.

Provide financial guidance on contracts, long- and short-term planning, and strategic initiatives.

Drive continuous improvement within the finance and accounting function.

Support and develop accounting team members; provide backup support as needed.

Oversee select administrative operations and business-related insurance programs.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.

10+ years of accounting/finance experience, with strong preference for manufacturing industry experience.

Proven leadership in financial strategy, budgeting, and cash flow management.

Experience managing audits and tax compliance.

Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.

Ability to interpret complex contracts and provide strategic financial insight.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (Sage preferred).

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
