Responsibilities

  • Manage full cycle HR functions within the Harrisburg distribution center, including high-volume recruitment, employee engagement, training, and development.
  • Conduct new employee orientations and manage benefits administration, safety protocols in partnership with operations.
  • Handle workers' compensation and unemployment claim management, employee relations, and maintain accurate timekeeping records.
  • Partner with the operations management team to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Support employee activities, audit timekeeping, and oversee compliance with employment laws at the federal and state levels.
  • Navigate complex issues such as leaves, FMLA, ADA, and manage case resolutions effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with co-owners, internal departments, external customers, and vendors through effective communication and coaching.
  • Ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment while maintaining attention to detail in administrative duties.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of Human Resource generalist or management experience in a distribution or manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of employment laws at the federal and state levels.
  • Experience managing leaves, workers' compensation, and navigating FMLA and ADA processes.
  • Ability to coach employees and management through complex or sensitive issues.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment skills to make recommendations and resolve problems according to policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and operate with a sense of urgency.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of timekeeping systems; TCP preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bi-lingual a plus.
